Abstract Presenters

This page contains information for abstracts that have been accepted for poster or oral presentation at the NAMS 2019 Annual Meeting.

Notification of Acceptance

  • Authors will be notified by June 15, 2019, regarding the acceptance or rejection of their submissions and will be required to confirm that they will present at the NAMS Annual Meeting.
  • Abstracts will not be included in the Meeting Program nor published in Menopause unless the presenting author has paid the registration fee prior to July 15, 2019, for regular submissions, and prior to August 15, 2019, for late-breaking submissions.
Cancellations

Authors of accepted presentations who do not present their work or fail to have it presented by a co-author will not be permitted to have abstracts considered for presentation at the NAMS Annual Meeting for the following two years. Exceptions will be considered if NAMS is given prompt notification of extreme unforeseen circumstances.

Oral Presentations

Those making oral presentations will be notified of their presentation time via email in late July or early August. They will have 10 minutes for their presentation, plus five minutes for questions and answers. Slides need to be submitted to the Speaker Ready Room at least two hour before the session begins. The Speaker Ready Room is located in the Grand Suite 5 in the Haytt Regency. If your presentation is in a Concurrent Session, please bring your slides on a USB flash drive with you to your presentation. Please review this document from our audio visual company for tips on making your presentation fit the widescreen format.


Poster Presentations

Poster boards provided by NAMS are 4 feet high and 8 feet wide. The poster must fit on the board. Push pins will also be provided. 


NAMS recommends the following be included in posters:

  • All of the same categories as the abstract (objective, design, results, conclusion)
  • Charts, graphs, pictures, etc.
  • Color
  • Study funding
Posters should be set up between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM on Wednesday, September 25. Posters must be taken down between 5:30 PM and 9:00 PM on Friday, September 27. Poster judging will take place throughout the course of the meeting. The official Poster Session will be held on Thursday, September 26, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. This is when presenters are requested to be available at their posters to answer questions from attendees and judges.
