The Menopause Society empowers healthcare professionals by offering up-to-date professional resources that will help improve the health of women during the menopause transition and beyond.
Established in 1989, The Menopause Society is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of women in midlife and beyond by fostering an understanding of menopause and healthy aging. To reach that goal, The Menopause Society offers unbiased and accurate information about the menopause transition to our diverse membership of more than 2,900 experts. You can find members in various fields including medicine, nursing, psychology, and more.
Our members have access to valuable professional resources, including the renowned, peer-reviewed journal Menopause, a practitioner certification program, and other continuing education opportunities. Clinical materials such as our “Menopause Practice: A Clinician’s Guide,” position statements, and e-newsletters, further empower healthcare professionals to serve patients experiencing menopause.
Publications
The Menopause Society has a wide array of scientifically accurate, culturally inclusive, and evidence-based resources that address all aspects of menopause and healthy aging as well as clinical issues pertinent to improving women’s health and healthcare experiences.
Position Statements
The Menopause Society’s Position Statements and other reports address important and up-to-date clinical issues pertinent to women at midlife and beyond. These statements offer continuing medical education credits and are published in Menopause.
Menopause A-Z slides
The Menopause A-Z slide set provides more than 300 fully referenced slides for presentations on menopause and midlife women’s health and covers more than 60 topics.
E-newsletters
E-newsletters include, among others, Menopause e-Consult, which contain summaries and commentaries on recent scientific articles that inform and influence clinical menopause practice.
First to Know
First to Know provides information on new studies and important issues for healthcare professionals in their care of midlife women with expert commentary on the significance of the findings and some guidance on how to interpret the findings.
Menopause – The Journal of The Menopause Society
The Menopause Society’s monthly journal provides a forum for new research, applied basic science, and clinical guidelines on all aspects of menopause.
Practice Pearls
This series of clinical overviews and perspectives tackle challenging problems in the care of women at midlife and beyond. These were created to address requests for guidelines on specific topics that could be referenced and shared with colleagues.
Educational Opportunities
The Menopause Society’s Annual Meeting and other continuing medical education courses are must-attend events for anyone involved with midlife women’s health issues. The Annual Meeting and related courses are live events, held annually, and are also available virtually.
Continuing Education
The Menopause Society is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. These credits are valuable to maintain your MSCP credential status. Pharmacotherapeutics hours are also available for The Society’s educational activities.
Certification Maintenance
Those who hold The Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP) credential have several options to maintain their certification.

All healthcare professionals with an interest in the many issues affecting women as they approach menopause and beyond are encouraged to review the professional resources available through The Menopause Society. While some resources are available to all, some are available only to members of the Society.
