Maintaining Your MSCP Certification

Discover the ways in which you can maintain your Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP) credentials.

Maintain the MSCP Credential

Credentials expire on December 31 of the third year after credential is earned. Check your certificate to verify the year your credential expires.

Maintenance of Certification Options

There are two options to maintain your MSCP credential: by submitting the appropriate continuing education credits or by reexamination. Details for sitting for the examination again are available in the Candidate Handbook.

To maintain your certification through continuing education, you must

  • Meet the current eligibility requirements by holding a current license to practice in your field.
  • Provide proof that you have earned a total of 45 credit hours of continuing education related to midlife women’s health from an accredited institution in the current maintenance period.
  • Provide proof that at least 15 of these 45 credit hours were awarded by The Menopause Society.
  • Submit the required documentation, plus the appropriate fee and documentation of your current professional license, to The Society between July 1, 2024, and December 31, 2024.

Maintenance applications are accepted online between July and December. Information will be sent via email to those who are due to renew in a given year. Please be sure that The Society has your current email address on-file. No hard copies will be mailed.
