All certifications expire on December 31 of the third year after earning the credential. Check your certificate to verify the year your credential expires.

Certification Maintenance Options
There are two options to maintain your Menopause Practitioner certification: by submitting the appropriate continuing education hours or by re-examination. To sit for the exam again, view complete information found in the Candidate Handbook.
CANDIDATE HANDBOOK
To maintain your certification through continuing education, you must:
- Meet the current eligibility requirements by holding a current license to practice in your field.
- Provide proof that you have earned a total of 45 credit hours of continuing education related to midlife women's health from an accredited institution in the current maintenance period.
- Provide proof that at least 15 of these 45 credit hours were awarded by The Menopause Society.
- Submit a maintenance fee.
Maintenance applications are accepted between July and December. Information will be sent via email to those who are due to renew in a given year. Please be sure The Menopause Society has your current email address on file.
