Menopause Best Paper Award

This award recognizes the best paper published in Menopause in 2025. The recipient is selected by the Editor-in-Chief of the journal. 

Trainee Scholarships

The Menopause Society Thomas Clarkson/Leon Speroff Trainee Scholarships 
In recognition of Dr. Thomas Clarkson and Dr. Leon Speroff, two outstanding luminaries in the field of menopause and midlife women’s health, one medical resident and one DNP student will each receive up to $1,500 in travel reimbursement to attend the 2026 Annual Meeting. The Society will also provide a complimentary registration to each recipient to attend the main program of the Annual Meeting.

The Menopause Society NextGen Now Trainee Scholarships

Two trainees in accredited programs related to menopause and midlife women’s health will each receive up to $1,500 in travel reimbursement to attend the 2026 Annual Meeting. The Society will also provide a complimentary registration to each recipient to attend the main program of the Annual Meeting.

New Investigator Awards 

These awards recognize the outstanding abstract submissions of two investigators who have achieved their degree within the past 7 years. The award provides a complimentary registration to attend the main program of the 2026 Annual Meeting and funds for travel. Those who wish to be considered for a New Investigator Travel award must be the presenting author and indicate their interest when submitting the abstract online. The deadline for regular submission is March 31, 2026. The deadline for late-breaking submission is May 31, 2026.

Endowment Scholarships 

The first member-initiated scholarship was established in 2012 by a generous endowment to The Society from Ralph J Turner, MD, FACOG, MSC, to honor long-time member, Irwin J Kerber, MD, MSCP. For 2026, the scholarships provides four clinician’s working in women’s health (three medical resident/fellow and one DNP student), registration with a one-year (January-December) 2027 Society membership, complimentary registration to attend the main program of The Menopause Society’s 2026 Annual Meeting, registration for the Menopause 101 course, and up to $1,200 in travel reimbursement if attending the meeting in person. In person attendance is strongly encouraged.

The NIH Office of Research on Women’s Health 

For 2026, two additional travel awards sponsored by the NIH Office of Research on Women’s Health provide funding for registration to the main program of the 2026 Annual Meeting and funds to travel. Those who wish to be considered for an NIH travel award must be the presenting author and indicate their interest when submitting the abstract online.
